Advanced biorefinery: Chemistry and Materials
We seek to recruit PhD student for the Advanced Biorefineries: Chemistry and Materials (ABC & M) doctoral school at BOKU.
The offered research projects are co-financed by industrial partners and are concerned with basic research in the field of lignocellulosics. Selected topics are:
Analysis, modification and valorization of lignin from different sources
Modification and analysis of cellulose for material applications
Analysis and utilization of recycled cellulose fibers for spinning applications
Isolation, modification and analysis of aquatic biomass for packaging
Main Tasks
•Perform the required lab work
•Analyze, interpret and disseminate research findings and results
•Present results at international conferences and write reports and publications
•Contributetopublicengagementactivities

Person Specification
•Master degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical technology or a related subject
•Advanced English speaking and writing skills
We offer
•Contract: 3 years / 30 hours per week, Salary: gross monthly 2200 € (14 times p.a.)
